My couples would probably describe me as a calming presence who has the right amount of gentle chat at the right moments. I read the room, if you need someone to provide some light hearted chat to settle the nerves before the ceremony, I'm your person. If you need to just be and have someone quietly document it, I can do that too. It's never one or the other - it's whatever the moment needs. Either way, 30 minutes in, you'll forget I'm there.
I've been shooting weddings full time for years and my approach has always been the same. It's all about you! The atmosphere and the people you've chosen to be there with you. I work in a cinematic, editorial style, think feeling over formality, atmosphere over album poses. 90% of your day will be natural yet elevated and 10% will be some amazing portraits that you'll want to hang on your walls. I'm not here to direct your day, I'm here to document your day exactly as it unfolds, with all the texture and emotion that makes it uniquely yours.
Honestly? Live in the moment. Trust that all your preparations have led to your wedding day being authentically yours. The couples who end up with the most incredible images are the ones who forget I'm there. Don't worry about where to look or what to do with your hands, just be present with each other and with the people you love. The only thing I'd ask is that you carve out 20 minutes together, just the two of you, somewhere in the day to create some amazing portraits. That's usually where the magic happens.
There's two things for me. Light and emotion and honestly, the two are almost inseparable for me. The most technically perfect shot means nothing if it doesn't feel like something and the most genuine moment can go from great to amazing with the right light to hold it. What I'm always chasing is that split second where both collide, where the feeling is real and the light is doing something extraordinary. That's the image I'm always chasing, even if I think it's perfect I'll keep thinking how can this be even better?!
The ones nobody thinks to stage. The ones you can't force. Your mum catching your eye across the room. The way your partner laughs when they're nervous. The chaos of getting ready, the quiet after the ceremony, the dancing that goes on just a little too long. I'm drawn to real feeling, the unscripted kind. While you're living your best life I'll be documenting the big moments, the small ones and everything in between.
I love people. I also genuinely love the couples I work with, so connection matters to me more than anything. Your photographer is there with you on one of the most intimate days of your life. If we've had a good chat and it feels right, that energy shows up in the photos.
There's not one wedding that stands out but there is one thing that's common across all of my favourite weddings. The people. The best weddings I've photographed have been the connection between the couples and also with their guests. The way they glance at one another like it's just them in the room, the way your best friend hugs you after the ceremony. I've photographed the most intimate weddings with a handful of guests and I've photographed weddings with 150+ guests and still felt that genuine heart warming connection. Witnessing that is insane but documenting that is just pure magic.

Because you want photos that actually feel like your wedding, not a version of it or something that looks good on the next persons Pinterest Board. My work is atmospheric, considered and lightly posed towards the best light and all those flattering angles. It's made for couples who care about how a photo feels as much as how it looks and who want something that'll still take their breath away in twenty years from now.
