I'm never super chatty because the day isn't about me, it's about YOU. It's your wedding day, not a photoshoot so I won't be a fly on the wall either—I'll be somewhere in between. Think of me as a friendly, polite, and helpful guest who also happens to capture every moment with a camera. Consider me your Professional Wedding Guest, there to guide you when things get confusing and to smooth things over when they get stressful, all while taking incredible photos. Being a photographer is about so much more than just pressing a button.
I have won multiple awards over the years, some small and some that other photographers chase their entire careers. Multiple 'Boundless' awards, Multiple 'Masters of Wedding Photography' awards, Multiple 'Flash Masters' awards, Wedding Photo Journalists, Photographers Keeping It Real, Fearless, WPS Excellence, Weddison, The Wedding Industry Awards. I am featured in some of the best Wedding Guides, Wedding Magazines and Blogs and have been interviewed for PodCasts on many occasions. Despite all this, I don't behave like a Diva or a Rock Star Photographer!
For the past decade, I've had the privilege of capturing the best days of people's lives, and I've cherished every single wedding. Wedding days can be stressful and sometimes chaotic, and I've yet to see one follow a perfect timeline! No matter what happens, I'll be there to support and guide you without getting in the way. I know when to stay discreet and when to offer timely advice. The spotlight is all yours; I'm just here to make sure everything goes smoothly.
I love creating unique, dramatic, epic portraits for my clients. Every client deserves what I call the Magazine Cover image, so I quite often watch dramatic foreign films for inspiration. Also Hitchcock films fascinate me, if you want to chat about Rear Window.... I'm your guy!
The best thing you can do is simply be present with each other and enjoy it. It sounds obvious, but it’s everything. The couples who get the most out of their photographs are the ones who let go of the pressure, stop worrying about how things “should” look, and just live the day as it unfolds. Laugh loudly. Hold each other a little tighter. Take it all in. From there, it’s about trust—but not in a transactional way. It’s about feeling comfortable enough to be yourselves. To forget the camera is even there. To know that nothing important will be missed, and nothing real will be forced. You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to think about angles or ideas or what you’ve seen online. That’s my job. Your job is to feel it. Because the truth is, the photographs you’ll treasure most won’t be the perfectly posed ones—they’ll be the moments you didn’t even realise were happening. And those only exist when you’re fully in them. So be there. With each other, with your people, in every moment. I’ll take care of the rest.
My goal is simple: I want my clients to be happy. Full stop. If they want me to just 'do my thing,' that's fantastic—I'll dive right in, and we'll get amazing results. If they need some guidance on where to be, how to stand, or what to do with their hands, I'm here to help, and we'll still get great results. Whatever they need and however they want to approach it, I’m flexible and committed to making them happy.

Emotion trumps everything. A tear rolling down a cheek, a look across the room, a casual touch of hands, a laughing face. Capturing emotion is the ultimate rush for me.
My couples should know that I wont take over their day with hours of photography away from their guests, I wont be cheesy or cringey and I wont be annoying them or their guests. I'm easy to get along with, helpful, polite and friendly to everyone. When you choose your photographer, you must be 100% in love with their images. You shouldn’t just 'like' them; you should be able to see yourself in those photos and feel confident that this is the right photographer for you. It's crucial to ensure they are not only the right photographer but also the right person for your wedding day. Remember, you'll spend more time with the photographer than anyone else—they are always nearby.
One of my first weddings took place in a cold, wet, dark and slippery cave in the Lake District (Cathedral Cavern in case you are familiar). I carried far too much camera gear with me, took a million too many shots and worried constantly for weeks before and after the wedding. As it turned out it was a fantastic day and I won a few awards from the images I captured that day. Now when couples ask me if I am confident shooting in dark venues I have a little smile to myself and nod.

After you have said 'I do', when all the canapes have been eaten and the band have packed up and gone home, what is left of your Wedding Day? Each other (obviously!), the rings on your fingers and the memories you can look back on. The right photographer can whisk you back to your wedding day with his images whenever you look at them. Your Wedding Day is one of the biggest days of your life and you have to be 100% certain that my style suits you and your day. I hope I'm your 'Right Photographer'.
