For most of the wedding, I work quietly in the background, watching for real moments as they naturally unfold. I’ll chat and help people feel comfortable when it’s needed - especially during prep, portraits or group photos - but I’m not constantly interrupting or staging things. I think the more relaxed you feel around your photographer, the better your photographs will be. If we get on well and you feel at ease, you’ll naturally forget about the camera, which is when the best images usually happen. So the short answer is: a bit of both. Friendly and present when you need me, quietly observing when you don’t.
I have had photos published in Vogue, Tatler, The Lane and Rock My Wedding to name a few highlights.
I started photographing weddings in 2017 and have since captured over 100 celebrations across the UK and beyond. My work has been featured in Vogue, Tatler, The Lane, Rock My Wedding and more. My approach is documentary at heart, with an editorial edge. I’m a friendly, calm presence on the day - helping you feel relaxed when you need a little guidance, and blending into the background when the real moments are unfolding naturally. I’m not the kind of photographer who stages endless photographs or keeps you away from your guests for hours. I want you to be present on your wedding day, enjoying the people, the atmosphere and the moments as they happen. Some of the best images are the ones where you didn’t even realise I was there. For portraits, we’ll slow things down, take a little walk and find the best light and backdrops your venue has to offer. I’ll guide you just enough so you feel natural, comfortable and completely yourselves. And when the dance floor opens, I’ll be right in the middle of it - catching the energy, the chaos and your friends and family tearing up the dance floor!
My influences come from a mix of cinema, fashion, documentary photography, music and design. I’m drawn to work that feels honest, atmospheric and emotionally rich - imagery that has a narrative rather than perfection for perfection’s sake. I love the authenticity of documentary photography, the composition and elegance of editorial fashion, and the feeling of cinema: light, movement, mood and atmosphere. I’m also heavily influenced by music, especially the way a song can hold emotion, nostalgia and energy all at once. That’s often what I’m looking for in photographs too - images that don’t just show what happened, but bring back how it felt. My style is natural and documentary-led, but with an editorial edge: thoughtful compositions, beautiful light, real connection, and a sense of atmosphere running through the whole story.
The best photographs often happen when couples are fully present in the day rather than worrying about the camera. Give yourselves enough time in the morning, keep prep spaces as light and uncluttered as possible, and allow a short window for portraits so we can make the most of the best light. You don’t need to know how to pose - I’ll guide you just enough so everything feels natural and comfortable. The main thing is to enjoy your people, embrace the atmosphere, and let the day unfold. I’ll take care of the rest. And when the dance floor opens, commit fully. Big energy always makes for brilliant photographs!
The most important thing to me is that the photographs feel true to you. I never want a wedding gallery to feel like it could belong to anyone. Your photographs should hold the real atmosphere of the day - the people, the energy, the emotion, the setting, the tiny moments, and all the things that made it yours. Of course, I care about beautiful light, composition and style, but the heart of it is connection. I’m always looking for the photographs that will mean more as the years go on: the way someone looked at you, the people gathered around you, the laughter, the nerves, the chaos, the tenderness, and the feeling of being completely surrounded by your favourite people.
I’m always looking for the moments that feel real - the ones that show the atmosphere, emotion and personality of the day. That might be your dad seeing you for the first time, your friends losing it during the speeches, your grandparents holding hands quietly in the corner, or the tiny glances between you both that nobody else notices. I love the big emotional moments, of course, but I’m just as drawn to the in-between bits: the nerves before the ceremony, the chaos of the morning, hands being held under tables, lipstick touch-ups, children running wild, the last-minute deep breaths, and the dance floor slowly turning feral! For me, it’s about capturing the whole feeling of the day - not just how it looked, but how it felt to be there. Real connection, beautiful light, atmosphere, energy, humour, tenderness, and all the little details that make your wedding unmistakably yours.
The most important thing to know is that I care just as much about your experience as I do about the photographs. I want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and fully present on the day - not like you’re being pulled away for endless posed shots. I’ll guide you when needed, blend into the background when the moment calls for it, and capture the story honestly as it unfolds.
One that will take some beating was a wedding I photographed in New York. It was a beautiful mix of Korean and American traditions, with the most amazing couple - warm, stylish, fun and completely up for making the most of the city. The reception was on a rooftop in Brooklyn, with that incredible New York skyline as the backdrop, and later we headed into Times Square for couple portraits at midnight. It had everything I love about weddings: culture, energy, emotion, style, and a real sense of adventure. Definitely a bucket-list wedding. That said, I have a beach wedding in Santa Barbara, California this summer, so that might push it close!
Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Chelsea Town Hall, Marylebone Town Hall, Claridges, The Andaz, Cornwell Manor, Gunnersbury Park, The Old Hall Ely, Hyde House, Grangefields, Elmore Court, Braxted Park, Firle Place, Oakley Hall, The Big Beautiful Beach House, The Old Royal Naval College, Thorpe Garden, Bodleian Library, Sefton Park, Rushton Hall, Barton Hall, Kelmarsh Hall, Deene Park, The William Cecil, Dodford Manor, Dodmoor House, Whatton House, Scrivelsby Walled Garden, Elton Hall, York Mansion House, St Pancras Hotel
Couples usually choose me because they want wedding photographs that feel natural, stylish and full of life - without spending the whole day being posed. My approach is documentary-led with an editorial edge, which means I’ll capture the real story of your day as it unfolds, while also creating beautiful, considered portraits and detail images that feel elevated but still completely you. I’m calm, friendly and easy to have around, and I care a lot about making the photography feel like part of the day rather than something that takes over. I’ll guide you when it helps, quietly step back when the moment needs space, and keep things relaxed so you can stay fully present. I’ve photographed over 100 weddings across the UK and beyond, with work featured in Vogue, Tatler, The Lane and Rock My Wedding, so you’re in experienced hands - but more importantly, I’ll bring warmth, care and attention to your day from the first message through to the final gallery. For me, it’s about creating photographs that feel honest, beautiful and timeless - images that bring everything back: the people, the atmosphere, the emotion, and the feeling of being right there again.
